Health and Safety
We take health and safety seriously at GTGO, and get our processes reviewed on a regular basis both internally and externally.
Over the past few years, we’ve migrated from being a mostly voluntary based organisation arranging free trips with car-pooling, to providing guiding services, transport, online registrations, ticketing, and following an externally audited SOPS (Safety management system).
Some of our protocol includes:

NZTA TSL (transport service licence) for the provision of large and small passenger transport. Drivers have P-endorsed licences where needed.

PENDING FOR 2025 – AdventureMark external safety audit certification (being reviewed as at November 2025), for NZ Safety Audit Standard for Adventure Activities 2017. Walking and camping, paddleboarding, cycling

Peak Safety, outdoor first aid training forlead guides

NZOIA mountain bike and bush leader qualification for guides

HIRAC (hazard identification risks and controls) for all activities.
Further, Got To Get Out has gained concession to legally conduct guided / organised outdoor activities on council or crown land, and we are a concessionaire with:
Auckland Regional Parks,
Department of Conservation,
Many other regional councils in NZ.
We thank every council or organistion who allow us to conduct our activity on their land.
