Health and Safety
We take health and safety seriously at GTGO.
Over the past few years, we’ve migrated from being a mostly voluntary based organisation organising free trips with car-pooling, to now providing guiding services, transport, online registrations, ticketing, and following an externally audited SOPS (Safety management system).
Some of our protocol includes
-
NZTA TSL (transport service licence) for the provision of large and small passenger transport. Drivers have P-endorsed licences where needed.
-
AdventureMark external safety audit certification, for NZ Safety Audit Statndard for Adventure Activities 2017. Walking and camping, paddleboarding, cycling
-
Peak Safety, outdoor first aid training for guides
-
NZOIA mountain bike and bush leader qualification for guides
-
Wherewolf risk-acknowledgement check-in for all guests.
-
HIRAC (hazard identification risks and controls) for all activities.
Further, Got To Get Out has gained concession to legally conduct guided / organised outdoor activities on council or crown land, and we are a concessionaire with;
-
Auckland Regional Parks
-
Department of Conservation.
-
Many other regional councils in NZ.
We thank every council or organistion who allow us to conduct our activity on their land.
